6 of our new Beaver Scouts were invested this week. They came in their uniforms and recited the Promise, Law and Motto. They looked very fine indeed with their new orange neckers, and we look forward to seeing all our Beavers wearing full uniforms every session henceforth.
Did we have fun at Investiture? Of course! We had a proper inspection before they cut out their tails from felt. We did the Active Story of Scouts, and then played a runabout game recognizing the flags of some of the countries where young Scouts are located: Beavers in Canada, Sunguru (rabbits) in Kenya, Kabu (cubs) in Tanzania, Bunnies in India, Grasshoppers in Hong Kong, and Joeys in Australia.
