Hi Beaver Parents,

Please find attached the equipment list for the White Tails Skill Camp and driving directions for tomorrow. Please note the start time change to 11am. If you will be late please let me know by text. Please ensure your children are already wearing sunscreen. and bring bug spray.

don’t forget to bring the $10 event fee with you.

More information for you about the Sailing Adventure tomorrow at Jericho. Please see the attachments for a MAP showing the location (1300 Discovery Street VANCOUVER BC) and the waiver you need to print and sign before your child participates.

Beaver Scouts will learn basic sailing skills and have a short sailing adventure. All equipment is provided. NOTE: This event is first come-first served with a maximum attendance at 16 youth.

• Every sailor will need to have the attached “Informed Consent” form filled out.

The informed consent form is NOT a waiver and DOES NOT waive your child’s legal rights

• Bring a towel and change of underwear or a swim suit. Everyone will get a wetsuit (short arms and legs) and there are boys and girls shower rooms. Kids wear a swimsuit or their underwear under the wet suit, then have a shower and change into their dry clothes afterwards.

• Bring sunscreen, water bottles and maybe a snack. There will be a 30 minute chalk talk first about parts of the boat, maybe a few other things. Then get wetsuits and PFDs, then down to the boats for sailing.

Jericho Sailing Centre can be a busy place so parents please plan to show up a little early (1/2 hour) if possible.
