NO meeting tomorrow Nov 29 (And look-ahead for december)

Hi Everyone,

This is just another reminder that we do not have a meeting tomorrow night. Scouters are taking a rest after the successful Master Chef Sleepover last weekend.

December has a number of special events!

#1 for December 6 & 13, we are doing a FOOD DRIVE. Please bring non-perishable food donations for the food bank to Beaver Scouts.

Dec 6 we will have the Northern Lights Ceremony for the White Tail Beavers. We hope that you can come early to see it. The ceremony will take place at 7:15pm.

Dec 13 is our last regular meeting of 2018!

Wednesday, December 19, is the annual Burnaby Scouts Night at Burnaby Village Museum! Families are invited to join Burnaby Scouting youth at the heritage village to see the lights and do a scavenger hunt. We’ll be delivering our group food bank donation at that time. Bring a mug for hot chocolate and another can or box of food for the food bank to the Scouts Table near the carousel entrance of the Village Museum! **this event is from 6-8pm. Please feel free to come any time and wander the museum. Your child may use this museum visit as one adventure for the Canada Personal Achievement Badge IF they draw a picture, take a photo or write about what they saw and learned. See the event poster at:

Saturday, December 22, meet our group at Bill Copeland Sport Centre – 3676 Kensington Ave, Burnaby for the public “Ugly Sweater Christmas Skate”! Our group will pay for youth and siblings to skate at this event if you arrive at 12:15. Uniform: Necker and either Uniform Shirt OR Ugly Christmas Sweater! We will be skating until 2:30pm. This is a public skate and families are encouraged to join us.

Finally, Mark your calendars, Save your Empties and spread the word: Our next Bottle Drive is Saturday January 5th! As always, let me know if you are out of town so we can arrange another way for your child to help us fundraise!

Our First Meeting after the break will be Thursday, January 10.

Thanks Everyone!

Scouter Rosie
