A Very Busy Month

What a busy month we have had!!!

We….

Had a halloween party!

Wrote postcards to veterans!

Sorted 1000s of bottles at the Bottle Drive!

Marched in the Remembrance Day Parade and laid a wreath at the Cenotaph!  This was particularly moving: a veteran came and personally thanked the boys and girls in our group for continuing to remember the wars and the people who have fought for their country. How special for the children to learn that what they do really matters to people.

Then, last week we did Brainstorming for what kinds of activities the beavers like to do, and then had fun with creative building – K’Nex and a Marble path game that required the beavers to work together!

The weather has taken a turn for the worse. So, this week, we’ll be indoors having a Pirate Night (one of the themes the Beavers have thought up themselves).

Burnaby Area Campfire Oct 22

5 Brave Beavers from 1st Southwest came to Burnaby Area Campfire in the torrential downpour! Wow!!! We crowded around a bright propane campfire and took shelter under trees at warner loat park. Action songs and friendship kept us warm and proper rain gear kept us dry. Great job beavers!
