Hi All!

This is a reminder that the last bottle drive of the year is tomorrow, Saturday April 1.

Location: Nelson School on Irmin Street.
Time: 10am-4pm
Rain or shine

Please bring bottles or cans with you when you arrive.

If you are available to come help set up, they will probably be setting up around 9/930am.

Please stay as long as you can and help out. Bottle drive proceeds help to subsidize our events and activities. Upcoming events for beavers being subsidized by Bottle Drive will include: White Tails Project Supplies, Beaveree April 29, Snacks for a Heritage Adventure in Steveston on May 13, Equestrian Day May 28, Scouting Skill Camp June 3, All-Sections Camp June 16.

A calendar of upcoming events and descriptions of what to expect for April-June will be provided to you at our next meeting.

This week we will have a regular indoor Beaver Meeting, commencing at 630. White Tails are welcome to attend council at 6:20.

Please have all beavers bring information about their progress and plans on badges.

Thank you!

Rosie

This Week Beavers & Winter Skills Handout

Hi Beaver Families!

Last week I handed out a worksheet about the Winter Skills Stage 1 badge. This is meant to help beavers who did not go to Winter Fun Afternoon complete the badge. They can answer the questions by drawing or writing, or by bringing in other pictures and telling me about it.

As I said last week, "If it is not fun, do not do it". Badges are a CHOICE. The worksheet is not homework. It is to HELP those who want to get the badge to organize their thoughts. We will do winter skills again next year in Beavers.

The front section covers things kids need to know to be safe in the snow at Stage 1.

At the back of the worksheet are the winter activities. These are fun and your child should mark the list if he or she has done them already (Like ‘build something out of snow’).

Today is a snowy day – a perfect chance for your child to plan their winter clothes and get outside and take a walk in the snow at a park, help the neighbours shovel their walk, and have fun out there.
