Hi Beaver Families!
This Thursday, December 14, is a special Beaver Meeting!
The Cub Scouts have decided that a fun linking activity will be building gingerbread houses together and they will be coming to join our meeting!
If you can, please bring some candies to attach to the houses. The candies must have NO NUTS.
This will be our last regular meeting of 2018. But there are some events over the holidays:
Wednesday December 20 – Burnaby Beavers Family Night at Burnaby Heritage Village Museum.
– 1st Centre Lake (our sister scout group) will be serving hot chocolate (Bring your own mug!) and collecting Food Bank Donations starting at 6:30pm. This is a fun way to get out with your family – and this activity counts towards the CANADA BEAVER, COMMUNITY BEAVER, or EXPLORING BEAVER Personal Achievement Badges. To let this qualify, your Beaver should draw a picture or write about what they learned at this place. There is a scavenger hunt available through the museum.
Saturday December 23 – Christmas Sweater Skating Party from noon to 3! 1st Southwest has a party room. Sign up for this event on Scoutstracker once I send out the invitation.
Saturday January 6 – 1st Southwest BOTTLE DRIVE! as usual, we will need lots of drivers to pick up bottles and lots of people to help sort. These fundraisers are really important to our group! Please mark your calendar and take some time to help us out!
Thursday January 11 – 1st Regular Meeting of 2018! Starts at 6:30pm and see you there!
