We are having our VERY important Investiture Ceremony at Beavers this week.

The Ceremony will take place around 7:15pm and parents are encouraged to attend.  This is the time when new Beavers become official members of our colony and swear the Beaver Promise and recite the Beaver Law. They will receive their scarves and group membership crests. They will be formally welcomed into 1st Southwest Scouts.

Your Beaver MUST be wearing his Beaver Hat and Beaver Vest to be invested.

NOTICE: Announcements for Oct 1 Meeting

1. If your Beaver is a White Tail (in Grade 2 at school), please arrive 15 minutes early (6:15) for the White Tails Council. This is where White Tails meet each month to discuss the Colony and work on Leadership Skills. It is a 10 minute meeting for the children.
2. The Bottle Drive Scheduled for Saturday October 3rd had to be postponed. This means we have the opportunity to attend the Edmonds Community Clean Sweep service event instead. The event registration is at 9:45am on Saturday, we can help clean up the neighbourhood and goes until 12pm for a barbecue. I will have a sign-up sheet for this event available at our meeting. This is a parent participation event.
3.  Our Group Commissioner, Scouter Alan Dawson, will be speaking to ALL parents and children at 630pm at our meeting about our popcorn fundraiser. Please on time to show respect for Scouter Al.
